New Ways to Boost Your Wellbeing

A few weeks ago, I had written my first post on Happiness and small little changes that all of us could take to build on the happiness quotient in not just our personal lives but also in our professional work life.

With all the restrictions that we have been facing since the beginning of this pandemic, we have been and are still trying to accept and adapt to the changes, looking for different ways on how we could still go about our day to day lives and do most of those things that we have been used to and loved so much.

Happiness is not set in stone; it varies in leaps and bounds based on our day to day life. However, the conscious choices that we make to appreciate ourselves, others and every little thing, at the same time to overcome challenges and shortfalls is what helps in building our happiness quotient. It is not often that we realise that we as human beings have an amazing inner strength to look at challenges as opportunities and come up with creative ideas and new ways to do things that we love so much instead of actually just sitting back and bottling up.

Every month, the team from Action for Happiness releases a themed calendar that is packed with actions for each day that you can introduce to your own daily routine. You can download them to

  • Print off and put it up on your fridge
  • Or even as a place holder in your daily calendar (Outlook, google etc) so that it is the first thing that you get to see and will work its magic to help you think of positive affirmations for your day.
  • Or you can even swap your desktop background to the calendar
  • You can also download the Action for Happiness App on your phone for daily inspiration and Actions

The Theme for November 2020 is NEW WAYS which is based on the ‘’T that stands out for Trying Out’’ from the 10 Keys to Happier Living – Together they spell ‘’GREAT DREAM’’

There is also an option to download the monthly calendars in other languages too

New Ways November calendar has some really good ideas and daily actions to help you to keep trying out and learning new things – go on and try them out. If you miss a day here and there, it’s absolutely fine, but once you get into a routine of doing these, you will start loving it and will start to see a difference to the way you look at yourself, at others and everything else around you.

‘’You never know what you can do until you try’’. Keeping in line with the New Ways theme for November – why not look at learning new things as Learning affects our wellbeing in many positive ways. It exposes us to new ideas and helps us stay curious, engaged, gives all of us a sense of accomplishment and helps boost our self-confidence and resilience.
